Measures Available

Loft Insulation

Loft insulation is a barrier of material in your roof space that traps heat. It can either be laid between the joists (the horizontal beams along the floor of your attic) or the rafters (the angled beams that support the roof). Insulation between the joists keeps warmth in your living space below, and creates a cold loft.

Internal Wall Insulation

Internal wall insulation is a great way to improve the energy efficiency of your home. It works by adding insulation material to the walls of your home, which helps to keep the heat inside during the winter and outside during the summer. This can lead to significant energy savings, as well as improved comfort in your home.

External Wall Insulation

External wall insulation is a layer of insulation fixed to the outside walls of your home. It creates a blanket around your home, restricting heat escaping in the winter and keeping you home cooler in the summer. It does this by fixing a layer of insulation material to the exterior wall of your home.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity Wall Insulation works by filling the empty space, or “cavity,” between the outer and inner walls of your house with insulation material. This helps to prevent heat from escaping, keeping your home warmer and reducing the amount of energy you need to use to heat it.

Solar Panels

Solar panel are a renewable energy technology which transforms the energy from the sun into electricity using photovoltaics. These photovoltaics provide a reliable green energy solution.

Air Storage Heat Pump

Installing an air source heat pump is a great way of producing your own heat, reduce your carbon emissions and save money on your heating bills. It doesn’t need to be warm outside to work as they will generate heat even when outside air temperatures are below freezing.

Electric Storage Heater

Electric storage heaters warm up your house whilst making the most of off-peak electricity prices. They store thermal energy by heating up internal ceramic or clay bricks at night when electricity tends to be off-peak and cheaper. This heat is then released during the day to keep your house warm. They spread heat around the room by pulling in cooler air, warming up the air through the heater, then releasing it evenly into the room.

Heating Controls & TRVs

Home heating systems without heating controls can be wasteful of energy and costly to run because there is little to
no control of the amount of heat being used to heat your home and your hot water. Adding modern heating controls can help you to accurately match your space heating and hot water schedules to the working and living patterns in your home, so when heat and hot water are required, it is there; and when it is not required, it is turned off.
